Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient pediatric acute and rehabilitation unit at a nationally-ranked children's hospital, requiring 1+ year of pediatric experience.

Details

• Inpatient pediatric acute and rehabilitation unit
• 5x8 day shifts, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00-16:30
• Uses Epic for charting
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pediatric post-graduate work experience in acute or rehab settings for children
• Strong pediatrics experience required; children's hospital experience not required
• BLS certification required
• CA license required if applicable; candidates without a CA license in hand may practice under the 60-day rule while obtaining licensure, provided a plan to obtain it is confirmed
• Skills include patient assessment, adaptive devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, body mechanics, and vital sign monitoring
• Experience with equipment such as crutches, gait belts, Hoyer lifts, walkers, and specialty beds
• Experience with E-stim modalities preferred
• Experience with pediatric specialty populations including cerebral palsy, developmental delays, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury preferred

• Facility is a Level 1 trauma teaching hospital, Magnet recognized, and Beacon Award winner
• Scrubs of any color accepted
• Required to work 2 out of 3 holidays
• Maximum 6 days of RTO must be confirmed upfront
• Candidates may be required to float within scope of practice
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to travel
• Free traveler parking provided
• First-time travelers will be considered
