Medical Director

Aura of Oma is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and forward-thinking Medical Director / Collaborating Physician who currently resides & licensed in Northern California to partner with our innovative Nurse Practitioner-led concierge wellness startup.

Our practice specializes in personalized IV hydration services, with plans to expand into hormone replacement therapy (HRT), medical weight management, women's wellness, and mental health services.

The ideal candidate must hold an active, unrestricted California medical license, reside in Northern California, preferably within the San Francisco Bay Area or surrounding regions, and demonstrate strong clinical leadership, collaborative skills, and a commitment to advancing safe, evidence-based, patient-centered healthcare.

This is an exciting opportunity for a physician interested in helping build and shape a growing concierge wellness practice from its early stages.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership and medical oversight, as applicable, to ensure compliance with California and federal healthcare regulations.

Collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner founder to develop and refine evidence-based clinical protocols for IV hydration, HRT, weight management, and future wellness services.

Support the delivery of safe, effective, and personalized patient care.

Assist in developing clinical policies, procedures, quality assurance measures, and patient safety standards.

Provide medical expertise and strategic guidance to support the practice's growth and expansion.

Participate in periodic clinical reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and evaluation of patient outcomes.

Collaborate in developing staff education, clinical training, and professional development initiatives.

Advise on regulatory compliance and applicable clinical practice standards.

Participate in scheduled virtual or in-person meetings, as mutually agreed upon.

Foster a collaborative working relationship with the Nurse Practitioner founder and other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications

Must currently reside in Northern California. This is a mandatory requirement.

Must hold an active, unrestricted California physician and surgeon license (MD or DO).

Preferably located in the San Francisco Bay Area, East Bay, Contra Costa County, Sacramento region, or surrounding Northern California communities.

Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty preferred.

Experience in outpatient medicine, concierge healthcare, wellness services, or clinical leadership preferred.

Familiarity with IV hydration therapy, hormone replacement therapy, medical weight management, or mental health services is advantageous.

Strong knowledge of California healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and clinical compliance.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and professional leadership skills.

Ability to support an evolving startup healthcare environment.

Interest in developing a long-term professional relationship with opportunities for practice growth.

Compensation and Partnership Opportunity

PAY IS NEGOTIABLE

Compensation will be determined based on experience, responsibilities, time commitment, and the mutually agreed-upon partnership structure, consistent with applicable California laws and regulations.

Location Requirement – Important

Applicants MUST currently reside in Northern California. Preference will be given to physicians located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Contra Costa County, Alameda County, Sacramento region, or nearby communities.

Physicians residing outside Northern California will not be considered for this opportunity.
