Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 54-day assignment with our client in California, commencing Sep 1, 2026. This role involves working independently from 10:45 AM to 9:15 PM, and managing a diverse range of low acuity emergency room and urgent care cases, offering a dynamic environment for patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Independently manage patient care, operating without direct MD supervision.
• Provide care for low acuity emergency room and urgent care patients, suitable for a fast track setting.
• Perform procedures such as sutures and splints.
• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with chest pain, undifferentiated abdominal pain, headaches, and lacerations.
• Conduct pelvic exams and eye exams using slit lamps.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine is required.
• The facility utilizes Epic EMR.
