VACANCY INFORMATION

Correctional Health Services

• Provide direct nursing care to inmate population.
• Interview patients to collect and document information as part of a comprehensive assessment.
• Prioritizes and coordinates patients care needs and activities as a member of an interdisciplinary patient care team.
• Observes patient's response to interventions and treatments and monitors for side effects of medication administration.
• Communicates appropriately with patients and/or caregivers concerning care and treatment plans.

This position is open to all County of Los Angles employees who currently hold the payroll title of Registered Nurse I and have successfully passed their probation.

LICENSE

A license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
