Job Description
Are you an orthopedic physical therapist who wants to do more than traditional rehabilitation?
COVA Physical Therapy is a growing, independently owned specialty practice in Solana Beach, California. We are seeking an exceptional Orthopedic / Sports Physical Therapist who is passionate about helping active individuals recover from injury, build strength, optimize performance, and maintain lifelong physical capacity.
Our philosophy is Keeping Active People Active.
At COVA, we combine evidence-informed orthopedic rehabilitation with advanced biomechanical assessment, exercise physiology, and longevity-focused performance testing.
We’re looking for a clinician who values clinical reasoning, individualized care, and measurable outcomes—and who is excited about the evolving role of physical therapy in performance and preventive healthcare.
We have flexible part-time opportunities, including a weekend-only position, with the potential to grow into full-time employment.
What You’ll Do
- • Deliver individualized, one-on-one orthopedic and sports physical therapy
- • Evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries and movement dysfunction
- • Develop progressive rehabilitation and strength programs
- • Guide athletes and active adults through return-to-sport and return-to-activity
- • Use objective testing to assess strength, power, movement, and functional performance
- • Integrate injury prevention and long-term physical capacity into patient care
- • Collaborate with other clinicians and healthcare partners
- • Contribute to COVA’s growing sports performance and longevity services
What Makes COVA Different?
- One-on-one patient care. Focus on high-quality treatment and meaningful outcomes rather than high-volume productivity.
- Clinical autonomy. We value clinicians who think critically, individualize treatment, and take ownership of their patients’ progress.
- Advanced performance technology. Access force plates, dynamometry, VO₂ max testing, resting metabolic rate assessment, and objective biomechanical testing.
- Beyond traditional rehabilitation. Help clients transition from injury recovery to strength, athletic performance, and lifelong physical health.
- Diverse, active clientele. Work with athletes, active adults, dancers, tactical professionals, and individuals pursuing healthy aging and longevity.
- Opportunity to grow. Help shape specialty programs and expand your clinical role as the practice develops.
- Flexible scheduling. Weekday part-time and weekend-only opportunities are available.
