Job Overview

The IR RN will support patients before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures while working closely with radiologists, technologists, anesthesia, and the broader care team.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-procedure assessments and patient preparation
• Administer medications and moderate sedation as ordered
• Monitor patients throughout IR procedures
• Provide post-procedure recovery and discharge education
• Maintain IV access and assist with medication administration
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Assist with emergency interventions when needed
• Document assessments, medications, and procedural care accurately
• Coordinate care with radiology and interdisciplinary teams

Requirements

• Recent Interventional Radiology RN experience
• Active RN license for the assignment state
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• Strong procedural and critical-care assessment skills
• Previous travel experience preferred
