Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team of professionals who provide medical support and care to patients. The Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for completing a variety of duties including conducting health assessments, and helping patients barter for necessities. The Licensed Vocational Nurse must also be able to work well with physicians, other staff members and patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer basic nursing and medical treatments to patients under the supervision of physician and registered nurse.
• Respond to patient's emotional needs.
• Perform admissions and discharges, completing and processing paperwork.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Schedule Labs & Radiology per physician's orders
• Communicate with pharmacy about new medications, refills, adjustments, discontinued medications.
• Administer wound care treatments, such as changing bandages, applying ointments, and cleaning wounds.
• Administer medication prescribed by physician
• Assess condition of patient's wounds.
• Assist physician in rounding with patients
• Schedule appointments and/or transportation for patients
• Supervise Nurse Assistant
• Follow up with Physician on Dietician & Pharmacy recommendations

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
