Position Details

Required Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Perform nursing assessments and obtain/document patient vital signs.
Review patient medical histories, medications, allergies, and health questionnaires.
Provide direct nursing support for adult and geriatric Urology patients.
Perform venipuncture, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
Collect and process clean-catch urine and other ordered specimens.
Perform urine dipstick and urinalysis testing.
Prepare sterile and aseptic procedure trays.
Assist physicians with outpatient Urology procedures.
Support urodynamic testing, PTNS, cystoscopies, urethral dilation, pelvic exams, and urinary catheter placement.
Utilize bladder scanners and other Urology clinic equipment.
Administer intradermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications as ordered.
Perform medication reconciliation and coordinate medication refill requests.
Review laboratory and imaging results and communicate appropriate information to patients.
Conduct telephone triage and patient follow-up calls.
Provide patient education regarding procedures, medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Maintain universal precautions, infection prevention practices, and proper biohazard waste disposal.
Accurately document assessments, procedures, interventions, and patient communications in Epic.
Collaborate with physicians, phlebotomy staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
