Registered Nurse- Traveling Position

Heart and Vascular Centers of America is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient clinic team. This traveling role is critical in supporting our high-volume Nuclear Medicine department while ensuring patient safety, efficiency, and exceptional patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Travel is required between our Northern California clinic locations, including Chico, Sacramento, and Yuba City.

Key Responsibilities

• Primary focus: Support the Nuclear Medicine department by assisting with patient preparation, workflow, and safety
• Perform a high volume of IV placements – IV proficiency is REQUIRED
• Administer medications according to established protocols
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and allergies, responding appropriately when needed
• Conduct chart preparation, including reviewing laboratory results and physician orders for completeness and accuracy
• Collaborate with physicians, nuclear medicine staff, and technologists to ensure seamless patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation while upholding all safety, regulatory, and compliance standards
• Provide exceptional patient-centered care while maintaining efficiency in a high-volume outpatient setting

Qualifications

• Active California RN license in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Extensive IV placement experience required
• ER, ICU, Critical Care, or Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel between clinic locations in Chico, Sacramento, and Yuba City

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
