Licensed Vocational Nurse (Remote)

Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) – Specialty Medication Prior Authorization

Hours: 40 hours/week

We are seeking a licensed LPN/LVN to support specialty medication prior authorization operations in a remote healthcare setting. The candidate will review and process authorization requests, handle inbound and follow-up calls, maintain accurate documentation, coordinate with physician offices and pharmacies, and escalate cases requiring pharmacist or physician review.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical work experience.
• Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or D.C.
• High school diploma or GED; verification required.
• Excellent communication, computer, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Dedicated HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload).
• Resume, active nursing license number, and internet speed screenshot required.

Duties

• Review criteria-based prior authorizations following policy and procedure.
• Provide on-call after hours nurse availability for urgent PA requests.
• Provide internal nurse support to the PA team and member services department .
• Refer cases not meeting clinical criteria to the Pharmacist and MD team(s).
• Shift priorities while exhibiting a high level of urgency with all calls and assignments.

Schedule

• Training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST, approximately 5 weeks.
• Regular Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST.
• Mountain and Pacific Time Zone candidates preferred.
• Occasional weekend or after-hours coverage may be required.
