Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN)

Job Summary

Nevada County Superintendent of Schools is seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to become part of our experienced and highly supportive special education team. We proudly serve a variety of school districts—including Grass Valley, Nevada City, Nevada Union, Pleasant Ridge, Penn Valley, Twin Ridges, Union Hill—as well as several local charter schools.

Our Special Education Services Department is seeking a skilled LVN to join our dynamic team of professional educators. In this role, LVN's are valued members of our knowledgeable & collaborative heath care team, providing essential nursing services to students with health care needs in special education classrooms. This includes both consultation and direct care services for students with Extensive Support Needs from birth through 8th grade, in our beautiful Western Nevada County foothills.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience

~ High School Diploma or equivalent.

~ California approved Vocational Nursing Program.

~ One year experience in school or community health.

~ Specialized training in designated procedures required for this position.

Certificates & Licenses

~ Must possess a valid California driver’s license.

~ Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or greater.

~ Must possess a valid CPR and First Aid certification.
