Qualifications / Desired Experience

• Current RN license
• Certified School Nurse
• Experience managing care for students with G-tube, trachea, and toileting needs in a school setting
• Skilled in IEP Team presentations and healthcare recommendations
• Background in special education and student case management
• Ability to perform staff training if needed
• Willingness to oversee an LVN if required

Responsibilities / Duties

• Contact three physicians to obtain student-specific orders prior to school start (August 12th)
• Develop an Individual Healthcare Plan to be implemented by first day of school
• Provide onsite care for the student for the entire school day during the first week of school (August 12th14th), with the possibility of ongoing onsite support as ordered
• Potential supervision of an LVN in daily care
• Serve as a consistent resource for staff regarding medical needs and training
