Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Job Summary

Under the guidance of the licensed District Nursing team, provides support and/or

administers student medication. Evaluate basic physical/mental health of students to

assess medication efficacy, side effects, and adverse reactions. Under the direction of

the Director of Student Health and Wellness or designee, collaborates with teachers,

parents, and physicians concerning student health. Obtain physicians’ orders for

medication needed at school and request refills.

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of California Vocational Nursing License.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• One (1) year experience working in the healthcare field.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Letter of Introduction (Must be on Word or PDF document - photos are not acceptable)
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (Must include three (3) letters of recommendation )
• Other (California Vocational Nursing License )

NOTE

• Salary Placement: External candidates cannot place past step D. Internal candidates will be placed based on CSEA Article VIII (8) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Benefits: This position includes a full benefit package of Medical, Dental, and Vision for employees and eligible dependents.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8 hours with 1 hour lunch).
