Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in California
• Certified School Nurse credential or Master’s degree in School Nursing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working in a school-based or pediatric clinical setting preferred
• Background in tracheostomy, gastrostomy tube (g-tube), and ventilator care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Proven record of maintaining documentation with accuracy and professionalism

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on skills assessments for LVNs, focusing on trach, g-tube, and vent care procedures
• Evaluate and document proficiency to ensure safe, effective student care in school settings
• Serve as a resource for LVN staff, providing feedback and education as needed
• Collaborate with school health administrators to uphold high standards in student health services
• Adhere to all guidelines, district policies, and state nursing regulations
• Maintain confidential health records in compliance with privacy laws
