ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Telemetry (Day Shift) in Los Angeles, California.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30), every other weekend coverage required.

The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit will care for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics, utilizing essential cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills. This role involves floating to Medical-Surgical and other Telemetry units as needed. The ideal candidate must possess strong telemetry interpretation skills and be familiar with the EPIC charting system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
• Provide care to patients pre and post cardiac procedures such as angiograms and surgeries.
• Administer blood products and manage central and PICC lines.
• Assist with the care of chronic and long-term ventilated patients, including management of CPAP/BiPAP and tracheostomy care.
• Utilize Rapid Response Teams effectively and participate in emergency response situations.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience.
• Ability to float to Med-Surg and other Tele units.
• Experience with electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active California Registered Nurse license required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Completion of the Relias EKG test and passing of an onsite EKG competency exam prior to start.
