School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Santa Maria, California

Step into a rewarding role supporting student health needs as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a vibrant educational environment near Santa Maria, CA. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with students and staff, helping to create a healthy school community. You’ll join an onsite LVN pool, working 6.5 hours each day (32.5 hours per week), with opportunities during the extended school year (ESY) if interested.

What We’re Seeking

• Current and valid California LVN License
• Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and needs
• Proficiency in administering medications, caring for minor injuries, and managing chronic conditions under clinical guidelines
• Dependability and a collaborative spirit within a school community

Role Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing support to students and staff according to district protocols
• Monitor student health, support chronic condition management, and respond to emergencies as needed
• Document care activities, maintain health records, and ensure adherence to HIPAA and FERPA regulations
• Serve as a resource for health education and guidance for students, staff, and families
• Participate as an active member of the LVN pool, providing coverage where needed throughout the school
