Advanced Practice Nurse RPD (Residency Program Director)

Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) - a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval - award amount (up to $200 -000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

Duties

• The Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Residency Program Director provides advanced clinical care and educational leadership - ensuring high-quality services - program oversight - and interprofessional collaboration to support the VA mission and optimize outcomes for Veteran patients
• Bullet points: Leads and manages residency program operations - including data collection - reporting - and compliance with OAA and accreditation standards
• Provides clinical supervision - guidance - and evaluation for NP residents throughout the residency program
• Collaborates with medical center services and CBOCs to develop - coordinate - and implement education program initiatives
• Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic conditions - emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention
• Develops individualized care plans - orders and interprets diagnostic tests - prescribes treatments - and adjusts care based on patient needs
• Demonstrates leadership within interdisciplinary teams to enhance clinical outcomes and improve care delivery processes
• Initiates referrals - consults - and patient/family education to support comprehensive care
